For this week English lessons I want to explain about Procedure Text "How To Make".

Definition of Procedure Text

There are two definition about procedure text : 

(1) Texts that explain how something works or how to use instruction / operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax. 

(2) Texts that instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules. 

Generic Structure of Procedure Text

• Goal : (e.g : How to make spaghetti)
• Material or Ingredient : (e.g : the material to cook omelette are egg, onion, vegetable oil, etc. )
• Step : (e.g : first, wash the tomatoes, onion, …., second cut the onions becomes slice. . . )

Purpose of Procedure Text

• To explain/tell (the reader) how to make/operate/do something through a sequence of actions or steps.
• To explain steps/instruction to make/operate/do something

Language Feature of Procedure Text:

• Use adverbial of sequence / Using temporal conjunction (e.g: first, second, third, the last)
• Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : put the noodles on the . . ., cut the onion. . .,  wash the tomatoes. . . )
• Using adverbials (Adverbs) to express detail the time, place, manner accurate, for example, for five minutes, 2 hours, etc.
• Using action verbs, e.g : make, take, boil, cook
• Using Simple Present Tense

How To Make Churros With Chocolate Dipping Sauce

A churro is a fried-dough pastry—predominantly choux—based snack. Churros are traditional in Spain and Portugal, where they originated, as well as in the Philippines and Ibero-America.

Fresh churros are meant to be enjoyed for breakfast, dipped into thick hot chocolate or served with café con leche.

Ingredients 

For make churros dough you'll need :

1. 60 ml of water

2. 110 gr of all purpose flour

3. 40 gr of butter

4. 20 gr of sugar

5. 2 eggs

6. cooking oil

7. pipping bag

8. star tip

For chocolate dipping sauce you'll need :

1. 10 ml of milk

2. 60 gr of chocolate

How to make

For make the churros dough

1. Turn on the heat, into medium-low heat
2. then, put the milk pot into the heat
3. put the water, butter, and sugar into a milk pot
4. mix well untill it start bubbling
5. after that, turn low the heat then slowly add the flour
6. mix the flour and the batter until thick
7. turn off the heat, wait for 10 minutes to cool down the dough
8. after 10 minutes, put 2 eggs into the dough, mix untill well combine
9. take the star tip and put that into the pipping bag, then snip the tip
10. pour the dough into a pipping bag
11. next, turn on medium-low heat then put the frying pan with cooking oil for deep fry
12. wait untill the oil hot and bubbling, next, pipe the dough into a frying pan then cut the dough with scissors
13. fry untill they're golden brown
14. and put the churros into serving plate, sprinkle it with powdered sugar (optional)

For making the chocolate dipping sauce :

1. put the chocolate and the milk into a bowl
2. then put that into the microwave around 1 minute (you can use double boiler technique or steam)
3. serve that with the churros
4. and boom the churros with chocolate dipping sauce are done !!!
